Field Watch MkIII - Petite (Gold / Black)

The Lightwell MkIII is driven by a reliable solar-quartz movement from Seiko. A discrete solar panel underneath the dial converts both natural and artificial light into electrical energy, which means the watch is constantly charging– even indoors and under cloudy weather.

One minute under direct sunlight charges the watch with 24 hours of autonomous time-keeping power. At full charge, the movement will operate for 4 months without a light source.

Unlike conventional quartz watches, this movement does not use a silver oxide battery and will therefore never require a battery replacement.

The case of the MkIII is a nod to the classic mid-century field watch: a bold chamfered bezel atop a cylindrical center case with slab sides and tapered lugs. The case features brushed finishing throughout, with contrasting polished bevels on the lugs and bezel.

It's constructed using surgical grade 316L stainless steel for its high strength and corrosion-resistance. Measuring 30.5 mm wide, 8.7mm thick and 38mm from lug to lug, the case is compact, well-balanced, and perfect for everyday use.

The watch features a screwdown crown and caseback to help achieve a solid water resistance rating of 10ATM. Capable of being submerged 100 meters underwater, the Lightwell is tough enough to go surfing, fishing, or snorkelling in the deep end.

A thick, flat sapphire crystal protects the dial while offering low-maintenance durability. Incredibly scratch-resistant, Sapphire is rated nine out of ten on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond.

We applied several layers of anti-reflective coating for clarity and better light transmittance.

The hands and numeric markings are coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 luminescence that emits a deep blue-green glow after absorbing light.

The MkIII comes fitted with a classic Full-Grain Leather Band that lends versatility between the office and the great outdoors.

For swimming and other active pursuits, the Nylon Sport Band dries quickly and offers comfortable security.
